The Media Council investigates advertisement for medical procedure
The Media Council of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) brought proceedings against ATV Zrt. for advertising a medical treatment that requires clinical indication. The Council also brought proceedings against a radio media service provider and imposed a fine on another.

Due to these violations, the Media Council imposed a fine to the amount of HUF 30,000 on the media service provider Balaton Rádió Kft. and ordered it to publish a statement acknowledging such violations.
The authority brought proceedings against the media service provider Friss Média Kft. as it might have violated the terms of its public contract as well as its statutory obligations on the weekly airtime for programmes for public service purposes during the programming week between 6 and 12 May 2026 of its permanent community radio media service broadcasting under the permanent name Friss FM on 93.4 MHz in Kisvárda. On 18 May 2026, ATV aired a commercial communication promoting a medical procedure that requires a medical prescription, prohibited under media administration regulations; as a result, the Media Council brought proceedings against ATV Zrt.ammes dealing with public service issues and local public affairs during the programming week between 9 and 15 March 2026 and also breached its contractual obligations regarding the speech-to-music ratio.
