Average Monthly Cost Indicator

The Average Monthly Cost Indicator (AMCI) created by the NMHH helps navigate between telephone tariff plans that offer a wide range of services at different rates. It shows the expected monthly cost for each tariff plan at identical levels of consumption, indicating precisely what services consumers can expect to pay for.

The range of tariff plans available for subscription in a given month and their average monthly costs is updated at the beginning of each month on the NMHH website. Consumers will thus always have access to the current offers of the largest domestic service providers on a single site, as well as the key features of those offers.

Among fixed service providers, the site shows the tariff plans of Magyar Telekom and One; among mobile service providers, it shows those of Magyar Telekom, One and Yettel.

For fixed-line telephone and prepaid mobile tariff plans, the Average Monthly Cost Indicator (AMCI) values for average domestic consumption help in comparing expected costs, while for subscription mobile tariff plans, the variety and large number of these plans and the diversity of residential user needs demanded a much more accurate cost estimate.

The NMHH has therefore created a special calculator for comparing the expected costs and services of subscription mobile tariff plans, allowing all interested parties to set their expectations regarding tariff plans and receive the most favourable search results, with offers tailored to their needs.
