Reports of the Media Council to Parliament

In accordance with the Media Act, by 31 May each year, the Media Council submits to Parliament its report to give account of its activities for the previous year.

The report must assess

  • freedom of expression, opinion and press, as well as the balance of information provision;
  • developments in the ownership of media and broadcasting service providers;
  • spectrum management in relation to media service needs;
  • and the economic and financial position of media services.

The report shall be published both in print and on the websites of the authority and the ministry responsible for audiovisual policy.
