Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)

hu

The OECD is an international organization based in Paris that works with governments, decision-makers, and citizens to develop internationally accepted standards and responses to a range of social, economic, and environmental challenges.

To achieve its goals, the work of the Council, committees, and working groups is supported by the Secretariat.

The OECD's predecessor, the OEEC (Organisation for European Economic Co-operation), was founded on April 16, 1948, by 18 countries. The OECD was created as a result of the organization's reform in September 1961 and currently has 38 member countries. Hungary joined the OECD in 1996.

NMHH experts actively participate in the work of the organization: we represent Hungary in the Working Party on Communications Services and Infrastructure (WP CSI) under the Digital Policy Committee (DPC).
