Radiospectrum Policy Group (RSPG)

The Radio Spectrum Policy Group (RSPG) is a high-level advisory body to the European Commission, Parliament and Council on radio spectrum policy issues. In its advisory capacity, the RSPG deals with strategic issues relating to radio spectrum in Europe and assists Member States in cooperating on the strategic planning, coordination and harmonization of radio spectrum use within the Union. As a result of the Code, the RSPG was renewed in 2019. The Code formalized two existing RSPG procedures that had been established on a voluntary basis by Member States. Article 28 specified good service activities in the case of coordination issues, while Article 35 formalized the expert review procedure, i.e., the Peer Review Forum, in the case of frequency sales, which also includes the sharing of best practices and knowledge sharing and cooperation between Member States. One of the co-chairs of the working group is a member of our authority.

There has also been a Hungarian president in the history of the RSPG. Dániel Pataki, President of the National Communications Authority (NHH), served as Vice-President of the RSPG from november 2007 and became President the following year.
