European Platform of Regulatory Authorities (EPRA)

The European Platform of Regulatory Authorities (EPRA) was established in 1995 and currently has 53 member authorities from 47 countries participating in inter-authority cooperation. In addition to its members, the European Commission, the Council of Europe and the OSCE also participate in the work of the organization as observers. The EPRA Secretariat, which is funded by membership fees, operates from the headquarters of the European Audiovisual Observatory. EPRA provides an opportunity for dialogue with partner authorities operating in Europe. The international organization is an excellent forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience, including the exploration of innovative regulatory solutions, learning about trends in the audiovisual sector, and sharing best practices. EPRA holds two meetings each year, one in the spring and one in the fall. The meetings discuss all the topics included in EPRA's three-year strategy. The organization is represented by the EPRA Chair and supported by a management board. The EPRA website is a very practical and fact-rich knowledge base on audiovisual regulation, providing essential information for regulatory authorities.
