Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC)

hu

Since its establishment in 2009, BEREC has been promoting the independent, consistent and high-level application of the EU regulatory framework for communications markets, thereby ensuring the proper functioning of the single market for electronic communications. The Body provides advice to EU institutions at their request or on its own initiative. The BEREC Office, based in Riga, provides technical and administrative support to BEREC as an EU agency. The BEREC Office is headed by a Management Board, which consists of a representative of the Commission and one member from each Member State. BEREC is composed of the Board of Regulators, whose members are the heads (or designated high-level representatives) of the national regulatory authorities of each EU country.

The Board's professional activities are carried out in working groups, and NMHH staff play an active expert role in all professional working groups, promoting the preparation of high-quality professional materials and the dissemination of best practices among national regulatory authorities. In addition to expert representation, an NMHH employee holds one of the co-chair positions in the framework regulation working group.
