Independent Regulators Group (IRG)

The IRG provides a forum for national regulatory authorities to cooperate, exchange experiences, and share best regulatory practices. Since 2006, it has operated as a non-profit organization under Belgian law with a secretariat based in Brussels. The organization currently has 37 members. In addition to the regulatory authorities of the 27 EU member states, Albania, the United Kingdom, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Montenegro, Norway, Switzerland, Serbia, and Turkey also participate in the work of the IRG. Professional cooperation between authorities promotes the harmonious functioning of the European telecommunications market.
