At its weekly session, the Media Council of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) extended the radio entitlements of Érd FM 101.3 for another seven years. The board also finalised the invitations to tender for a radio frequency in Mosonmagyaróvár and has approved the draft of the invitation to tender for a radio frequency in Budapest.

At the service provider’s request, the Media Council has extended the radio entitlements of Érdi Városi Televízió és Kulturális Nonprofit Kft. broadcasting on the Érd 101.3 MHz local radio frequency, for an additional five years – until 23 February 2028 – so the Érd FM 101.3. will continue to broadcast its commercial type of service. This is the first instance since the amendment of the Media Act in 2019 for a compliant media service provider to secure the rights to use a frequency for 7 years, instead of the previous 5 years.

The Media Council has finalised and will publish/has published on its website on Thursday the call for tender for the community use of the Mosonmagyaróvár 99.7 MHz frequency with a local coverage area. Bids may be submitted on 24 November.

The Media Council has approved and published on its website for review the draft tender announcement for the community use of the Budapest 98.0 MHz regional frequency. Most recently, the frequency was used by the service provider of Civil Rádió, whose entitlement expired in December of last year.
