László Budai
László Budai gained his secondary school-leaving certificate at the Petőfi Sándor Secondary School and Secondary Vocational School of Engineering in Aszód before pursuing Roman Catholic religious studies in Eger and Budapest between the years of 1986 and 1989. In 2000, he graduated from the Berzsenyi Dániel Teacher Training College in Szombathely, gaining a degree as a cultural organiser and manager.
In his early career, he worked as a cultural organiser in Somlószőlős and Szigetszentmiklós. Between 2000 and 2008, he served as a member of the presidency of the Hungária Television Public Foundation, and later at the Hungarian Radio Public Foundation until 2011. For ten years from 2005, he was a member of the presidency of the Hungarian Cultural Society. Since 1998, he worked as an adviser and expert for numerous radio and television programmes and co-authored a number of publications.
In recent years, he held managerial positions in Misszió Tours Ltd. He organises pilgrimages and activities in various parts of the Carpathian Basin, including Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Poland – with the intent of strengthening the Polish-Hungarian friendship – and was also the recipient of the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland.
