PUBLIC HEARING on the opportunities and market demand for frequency bands available for the provision of wireless broadband services
The National Media and Infocommunications Authority (hereinafter: Authority) holds a public hearing in accordance with Section 39 of Act C of 2003 on Electronic Communications to present the possibilities related to frequency bands that can be used for the provision of wireless broadband services, and to assess market demand.

The Authority ensures, through public hearings, that potential stakeholders (market players, in particular civil and non-civil frequency users, service providers, operators, manufacturers, institutions, verticals) can express their views on the future of frequency bands and frequency band sub-bands suitable for certain broadband wireless electronic communications services and on market demand for them.
Subject of the public hearing: the 700 MHz, 1500 MHz, and 2100 MHz frequency bands, the 2600 MHz, 26 GHz, 32 GHz, and 42 GHz frequency bands, as well as the 3.8-4.2 GHz and upper 6 GHz frequency bands.
The public hearing will take place on September 16, 2025, starting at 9 a.m. at the Authority's building at 9 Esztergomi út.
The NMHH will publish preparatory documents related to the subject of the public hearing by 14 August.
Stakeholders may submit their opinions, proposals, and comments verbally or in writing at the public hearing at the latest. Materials sent to the Authority as electronic documents to the email address konzultacio2025@nmhh.hu will be published on the Authority's website no later than 8 days prior to the hearing.
We kindly ask interested stakeholders to indicate their intention to participate by sending an email to konzultacio2025@nmhh.hu by September 11, 2025, at the latest. The event is not open to the press.
The Authority shall prepare a summary of the public hearing, which shall include the comments and proposals submitted or made, except for information classified as business secrets by the party making the comment or proposal. The Authority shall publish the summary on its website within thirty days of the date of the hearing.

The NMHH publishes the preparatory documents for the public hearing announced for September 16, 2025, concerning the frequency bands that can be used for the provision of wireless broadband services. Please note that the public hearing will cover the following frequency bands: the 700 MHz, 1500 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2600 MHz, 26 GHz, 32 GHz, and 42 GHz frequency bands, as well as the 3.8-4.2 GHz and upper 6 GHz frequency bands. The Consultation Document also includes ‘Band introduction’ for the following bands: 700 MHz, 1500 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2600 MHz, 26 GHz, 32 GHz, and 42 GHz.
