Call for consultation regarding the draft documentation of the auction procedure announced for the entitlements to the radio spectrum use of the 32 GHz frequency band

A consultation will be held by the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (hereinafter referred to as: the Auctioneer) regarding the draft documentation (hereinafter referred to as: the Documentation) of the auction procedure announced for the entitlements to the use of the 32 GHz frequency band (hereinafter referred to as: the Auction) pursuant to Subsection (4) of Section 40/A  of Act C of 2003 on Electronic Communications (hereinafter referred to as: the Electronic Communications Act), to be held on 22 November 2022, starting at 10:00 a.m., in the Buda and Gesztenye rooms of the Larus Étterem és Rendezvényközpont (1124 Budapest, Csörsz utca 18/B).

At the consultation, the representatives of the Auctioneer will provide information primarily on the characteristics, use and conditions of usage of the spectrum subject to the Auction, the activities that may be carried out using the frequency, as well as the rules of procedure, schedule, form and fundamental rules of the Auction.

The consultation is not open to the press. The consultation is only open to pre-registered participants. Interested parties must register for the consultation and submit the name(s) of the participant(s) no later than 12 noon on the day before the day of the consultation by e-mail to 32ghz@nmhh.hu.

A maximum of four persons may represent a natural person, a legal person or any other entity with legal capacity at the consultation. The right of representation have to be evidenced on site before the consultation.

Pursuant to Subsection (6) of Section 40/A of the Electronic Communications Act, the questions asked orally during the consultation or received in writing prior to the consultation will be answered by the Auctioneer in writing within ten days from the time of the consultation, and will be published on the Auctioneer’s website, except for the secrets protected under Section 33 of the Electronic Communications Act. The answers published by the Auctioneer only serve informational purposes and, contrary to the Documentation, have no legal effect or legal binding force with regard to any individual administrative case or in terms of the regulatory decisions.
