Internet Hotline Annual Report 2025.

Published: 9 September 2025

The Internet Hotline, an online information and assistance service operated by the Office of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH), has summarized the most important experiences and achievements of 2025 in its latest report.

2025 was the first full year in which the Internet Hotline operated as a Trusted Flagger under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA). This status enabled online platforms to give greater priority to and handle more effectively the reports submitted by our staff, further strengthening the role of the helpline in providing legal assistance at an international level.

In 2025, the number of reports submitted to the hotline increased by more than 50% compared with the previous year, reaching 2,575 cases. As in previous years, the highest number of reports concerned the online sexual exploitation and abuse of children. At the same time, online abuse affecting adults also presented a significant challenge.

Families’ trust in our legal assistance service continued to grow. More people than ever before sought direct assistance from our staff, including 125 children and 81 parents.
