Media Council: HUF 105 million tender to support the production of history documentaries
At this week’s meeting, the Media Council of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) approved this year’s invitation to tender worth HUF 105 million for the production of history documentaries. In addition, HUF 107.2 million were allocated for the production of regular local and regional news as well as public and cultural television programmes.
NMHH: the payment notice practice of Telekom will become more reasonable
From November on, the General Terms and Conditions of Magyar Telekom will be modified, and – in accordance with the recommendation of the Media and Infocommunications Commissioner – the charges of subscribers in relation to payment notices shall be reduced.
The Media Council also decided on funding for the development of radio programmes and the technical development of community media service providers
At this week’s meeting, the Media Council of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) awarded HUF 75 million for one year’s production of news, service and thematic magazine programmes of local, regional and small community radios, and over HUF 48 million for the technical developments to ensure continuous operation of community televisions and radios.
Media Council supports Hungarian Special Independent Film Festival again this year
At this week’s meeting, the Media Council of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) decided to provide another grant for ad-hoc filming under Escher Károly Tender; this time, scenes will be shot for a documentary on forced displacement. Moreover, the Council contributed HUF 500 thousand to the awards to be presented at the 4th Hungarian Special Independent Film Festival.

HUF 30 million to cover operating costs of community radios and TVs
In the tender for local radio frequency Veszprém 95.1 MHz, the Council announced the only bidder, FM 4 Rádió Kft., as the winner, which plans on launching its service under the name “Mária Rádió Völgyhíd”.
NMHH Media Council: HUF 110 million for technical improvement of community TVs and radios
The Council decided to award grants totalling HUF 60.6 million for the production of nine new contemporary Hungarian animation films and series episodes and it will also cover the shooting costs of a production about Indonesian animal traffickers.
