As of the fourth quarter of 2016, a total of 61 cinema theatres had art-house classification. One of them, Urania National Film Theatre in Budapest was exempted from fulfilling the quota set out in Section 1 (1) of Decree 78/2013.(XII.16.) of the Ministry of Human Capacities as its two small rooms (Fábri and Csortos Rooms) has been out of operation due to storm damage since 17 August 2015.

With a view to the above, statistical analysis is based on the quarterly reports of a total of 58 cinema theatres with valid art-house classification in the period considered.
