Forum of European Supervisory Authorities for trust service providers (FESA)
FESA was established in 2002 with the aim of supporting organizations involved in the supervision of certification service providers issuing qualified certificates under Directive 1999/93/EC.
Following the entry into force of Regulation (EU) No 910/2014, which replaced the Directive, FESA continued its activities to contribute to the establishment and development of secure, reliable and easy-to-use electronic transactions across borders and sectors in the European Union.
As a forum for authorities supervising trust service providers under the Regulation, FESA promotes cooperation between members, mutual assistance, the presentation of different perspectives, and the development of good practices. The forum promotes the harmonization of supervisory activities with a view to developing a common perspective that would serve as a basis for dialogue with political and technological organizations, in particular the European Commission and standardization bodies.
The NMHH representative participates in the meetings as the authority supervising Hungarian trust service providers and as the representative of the organization issuing the Hungarian trust list.
