The Media Council approved the draft of the invitation to tender for the Zalaegerszeg 88.9 MHz frequency
The Media Council of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) has provided a grant of HUF one million for the BuSho International Short Film Festival. The board has requested the Authority to develop the radio media service opportunities for the Budapest 100.3 MHz, South Budapest 90.9 MHz and Budapest 99.5 MHz frequencies after the entitlement of the service providers of the frequencies will permanently expire this autumn, after a twelve-year period. The board has approved the draft of the frequency plan and the invitation to tender for the Zalaegerszeg 88.9 MHz local radio frequency.
Festival support
The board will provide grants of HUF 500 thousand for the winners of both the best Hungarian fiction and animation film categories at the 14th BuSho International Short Film Festival. The event will take place from 28 August to 2 September 2018 in Budapest. The festival’s official selection regularly features short films produced through the Hungarian Media Patronage program and in recent years, Kata Oláh’s En Passant won the jury’s special prize, whilst Balázs Simonyi’s short film entitled Indian won the public choice award.
Radio-related decisions
The board has requested the NMHH to develop the frequency plans of the radio media service opportunities for the Budapest 100.3 MHz, the South Budapest 90.9 MHz and the Budapest 99.5 MHz frequencies after the entitlement of the service providers of the frequencies will permanently expire this autumn, after a twelve-year period—in the case of Jazzy and Retro Rádió on 27 October and on 28 October in the case of Lánchíd Rádió.
The board has approved the frequency plan of the radio media service and the draft of the invitation to tender for the Zalaegerszeg 88.9 MHz local radio frequency, according to which the authority will announce a media service opportunity of a commercial nature. The draft of the invitation to tender will be available from 19 April on the NMHH website, while its public hearing will take place on 11 May.
