Media Council adopts radio-related decisions

At its weekly session, the Media Council of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) adopted decisions on issues concerning different radio frequencies. The Council conducted a formal examination of the bids received for the Székesfehérvár 101.8 MHz and Miskolc 103.0 MHz frequencies and authorised Hold Rádiós és Televíziós Reklám Kft. and Radio Plus Kft. to be connected into a network.

With regard to the bids received for the use of local radio frequency Székesfehérvár 101.8 MHz, the Media Council registered the bid submitted by VLNC FM Rádió Kft. and required Veszprém Rádió Kft. and Turul Média Kft. to submit missing information. The registration of Regionális Rádió Kft. was denied by the Council as its bid was found to be formally invalid.

With regard to the bids received for the use of regional radio frequency Miskolc 103.0 MHz, the Council required Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén Megye Betegeiért Alapítvány and FM1 Műsorszolgáltató Kft. to submit missing information. The bid submitted by Ifjúságért és Rádiózásért Egyesület was found to be formally invalid.

At the joint request of Hold Rádiós és Televíziós Reklám Kft. and Radio Plus Kft., the Media Council authorised their radio broadcasting licences for the frequencies Székesfehérvár 101.8 MHz and Miskolc 103.0 MHz to be connected into a network with Radio Plus Kft. as of 1 July. The Council also authorised them to continue broadcasting under the names 103.8 Rádió 1 and 99.7 Rádió 1 from that date.
