Child lock

Nowadays, modern televisions and set-top-boxes offer various options to ensure that children can access only channels and programmes we would like them to.

The easiest way to find out how to configure the child lock with your remote control is to consult the relevant user’s guide or the salesperson when purchasing a new device or your cable carrier. In essence, the child lock prevents children from watching locked channels until a preset code is entered. You may also lock certain programmes; for instance, you can configure the device not to display shows rated for viewers above 16. In this case, the child lock uses the age-rating of the television stations, so you do not even need to pay attention to the age-limit circle as the television will do it for you.
