Terrestrial television reception

Terrestrial television broadcast reception quality by location; the technical parameters of the available broadcasters and the reception strength of the broadcast signal by channel.

Traditional analogue terrestrial television broadcasting was phased out in Hungary by 1 January 2012, replaced by digital technology, which enables the transmission of a significantly larger number of channels. With a roof antenna and decoder, viewers can access free-to-air content without paying subscription fees. Viewers and the engineers tuning the system may find the map search feature useful; it displays the reception quality and other data of the different transmission towers measured by NMHH’s measuring service, in a breakdown by location and channel.
