Below is a representation of the information practices of news programmes in terms of percentage of appearances by politicians, as produced by the National Media and Infocommunications Authority. Drawing on international examples, this involved the analysis of the appearance made by politicians perceived in a parliamentary context, i.e. members of government, coalition members and members of the opposition. During processing, only the appearances where programmes presented figures’ views, actions and where figures spoke in person were considered (i.e. the Authority ignored appearances where only names were mentioned by communicators).
