The mobile telephony sub-market remains the largest segment in the communications market. The number of mobile subscriptions* in itself exceeds the aggregate number of landline telephony, television and fixed internet subscriptions.
The sub-market for mobile internet services continues to be the most dynamically growing segment in the Hungarian electronic communications market. Although it could not repeat the growth seen in previous years, the number of mobile internet subscriptions* still rose by 13% in 2015. The number of fixed broadband internet subscriptions and the number of television subscriptions went up by 6% and 3%, respectively, last year. With regard to access to mobile telephony services, a slight increase of around 1% was recorded, while landline telephony remained stagnant.
